MEET THE BAND

NEMESIS was the brain child of Nick Broussard. Nick started playing guitar at the age of 13. Nick had a friend who was taking acoustic guitar lessons. One day Nick picked up his friend's guitar and he was hooked. Nick started writing music and imagining new riffs immediately. He paired up with a couple of high school friends and they began practicing together, learning some covers, and writing some original material. Things were going well, and then covid hit and turned the world upside down. However, instead of this being a bad thing, Nick and the band spent the quarantine at Nick's house writing and playing music. It was very creative time for the guys. Nick wrote an entire album of music and they imagined what they would call themselves. Just as covid was ending, and the ability to play live was becoming more of a possibility, their drummer dropped out. The dream that had been moving along so well hit a road block. It took some time looking, but they found someone from their graduating class, Alex, and NEMESIS was back on track.  NEMESIS played their first gig May 7th, 2022 at The End in Houston, TX.

This would be their first and last show with this group of guys. Turmoil hit and things fell apart. Nick bounced around and teamed up with a few other bands but nothing hit the right note. During covid, Nick had met Reagan through a musicians website and he now joined Nick playing with another band for a short time. The fit just wasn't right so Nick and Reagan decided that they would resurrect NEMESIS. Alex rejoined and Ezra who they met through Instagram also joined. It was kismet! Quickly they recorded and released their debut album False Reality in early summer of 2023. It was a hit! The band got to work lining up gigs and traveled to California to open for Fueled By Fire at the iconic Whisky-A-Go-Go. Since then, NEMESIS has traveled and played in venues all over Texas and some select gigs in Louisiana and Oklahoma. Their resume of openings includes giants such as Fueled by Fire, Metal Church, Armored Saint, EYEHATEGOD, GoatWhore and  ACCEPT. NEMESIS is finishing up their second album and planning to release it early 2026. The next chapter will soon be written.............
